Winter 2024 Fashion Preview: What is new?

As the leaves fall down, and we are getting ready for the winter. However we need to ask ourselves the most important question. What will we wear?

Well I don’t think we can be shocked, can we?

The red color has been a trend for autumn/winter for years. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. “Burgundy will replace the last pop of red trend,” says the brain behind the Style Analytics. I personally love burgundy and try to use it in any outfit as a statement color or a whole outfit.

I myself am guilty of falling for this trend. Biker boots are an addition to any outfit, whether casual or for a party outfit with a dress. I would say it could be a leftover from the “Rockstar girlfriend” trend we experienced a year ago.

I can’t stress enough how much I love YSL suits. And from the S/S 2025 collection, we can see that they are not going anywhere. With this year’s trend “Office Siren,” the suits are making a huge comeback in the fashion industry, not only for formal wear but also for everyday running errands. I think after this year, nothing will be considered overdressed.

It seems like the bows are not going to leave us, ever. This year’s whole spring and summer were all about bows, and even as the months pass, the trend persists. “This season, their starting point was, of all things, the bow,” said Nicole Phelps in her review of Prada’s show in Vogue earlier this year. Although I have to confess…I am not a fan of bows on everything. I enjoyed it in the first weeks of this trend as a small feminine addition to something. But when I saw whole outfits covered in bows, I said enough.

Comfort, plaids, long skirts, and classic cuts. English countryside-inspired outfits played a huge part in Chloé’s, Burberry’s, and Isabel Marant’s shows. It’s easy, chic, and comfortable, all the things that people seek right now, and honestly, I do too.
